Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is your greatest fear? To kiss FM, what will
give me one?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Drowning? Really not a good swimmer, No, I'm a great swimmer,
but that would be my biggest fear is like actually
like suffocation for water.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I had a friend of mine, he's not a good swimmer,
and we were far from a boat to see through
the boat to the beach, and he started to panic
and I had to tow him on my I can swim.
I had to pull him on my foot like he
had to grab my foot like a toe to get him.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
He had a panic attack, and they had to keep calm,
cool and collected and not use all your energy if
you were ever like stuck.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
On saw it happening, and it was one of those
scary moments. What's your biggest fear?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Tonya being stuck in a room with a bunch of bees?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Have you give him some thought? Yeah? Well I was.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Thinking, Mike, what would really make me panic? And it
would be being stuck in a room with like a
lot of bees or bears. I think that's.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Another bear though. You could like if you are.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Calm, they won't stingy, right, but I would panic.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
But I would panic too, like bears in a room.
I'm not calm, no anywhere. One of my greatest fears
is going on a ride at an amusement park and
it getting stuck.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Right, I do think that when I put the like
the seatbelt on them, Yeah, I'm going to be the
one where.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
It doesn't work.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
So I got Jordan and Daniel on the line right
here out of Portland and this is what happens. So
you may have seen this all over the news. There
were like thirty people on a ride called Atmosphere at
the Oaks Amusement Park in Portland. It's a pendulum kind
of ride that eventually goes all the way upside down. Well,
they go up. Jordan's eighteen, Daniel seventeen. They're together at

(01:37):
the amusement park. They were stuck on this ride. The
ride got stuck for twenty minutes while they were just
hanging upside down. Jordan Daniel, what was happening in the
state of upside down with the two of you? Were
you calm? Were you panick? Did it feel like forever?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
I would say I was very panicked. I mean I
was freaking out up there. Definitely. When you first get
caught up there, you know, like you're just thinking like
are we gonna come back down? What's going on with
the ride right now? But when I was up there,
after like five minutes had passed or something, you're to
start freaking out, like panicking. You don't really know if
you're gonna live or die, like because like how are
they gonna get this machine? Then it's now it's like

(02:18):
the powers out.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Everything's lock and so your head like blood's rush into
your head, right and you're just looking down at the ground.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, and it's just like you're just freaking out, like
you don't know what's gonna We were up there for
like thirty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Actually was everyone else?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Was everyone else panicking? Where people crying? What are you
guys saying prayers?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Like what was going on up the road?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Where were you able to discuss?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Some kids threw up all over himselves, People were passing out.
There was people definitely crying and complaining. I had met
a prayer for around my group that was on it,
because like you have a few people around you, and
I asked them all to hold hands and like lead
a prayer with me.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Oh my gosh, how the presence and did you communicate
with people on the ground. How did they rescue you?

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Yeah, so when we were like hanging upside down, we
could hear people like shouting up to us, being like
you're gonna be okay, help us on the way. Remember
to breathe, like take deep breaths. But when you're in
that state, like you can hear them well, I mean, okay,
you can't even really hear them very well honestly, but
you're not listening, you know what I mean. You're just
trying to like keep yourself calm and like obviously, yeah,

(03:26):
you're trying to take deep breaths. You're trying off the panic.
You're trying to stay rational and realize like Okay, things
are gonna be okay, Like we're gonna get down, but
like you're so intained physically from the restraint of the harness,
all your weights in your shoulders and your chest, and
like taking like any breath is difficult much less like
slowing down and taking a deep breath, like it's almost impossible.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Woww Jordan, did you think about proposing? I mean it's like,
was there a moment there he thought about this a
bond for life? Will you marry me?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Eighteen and seventeen this.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Is a moment. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Definitely, we.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Told each other how much you care about each other,
but I don't know if proposing was on the line.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
That made a few beats. All right, So will you
ride more rides at amusement parks or is that so scarring?

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Now?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yes, no, I will. I'll go to ride them. I
know he won't, but I think, I mean I've passed,
but yeah, I'll go ride again for me.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I mean, you see this, the picture that ride there
is it's a huge, huge bug pole basically right that
goes up really high and everybody's in a circle and
then they're all of their weight is being forced into
the head harness upside down, which I think would break
or something exactly. Were you thinking that?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Were you thinking that the harness was gonna snap?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Oh yeah, I definitely was. That was my biggest here
for sure, Because the whole ride is shut down. You
have no idea, like what's preventing this from unlasting? You
know what I mean? Actually speaking of like the harness.
Once we were back down, they couldn't guess them unlatch,
which is relieving, I guess, but like not really you
get your money back? Oh yeah, we definitely got refunded.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
All right, well, thank you for thank you for coming
on you too. It was a frightening thing to see
almost thirty people thirty five minutes stuck upside down at
this amusement park in Portland. Take good care, Okay, thanks
for calling in to us. Go hug your family.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Yeah, thank you for sure.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
We're gonna hug each other right here actually after this, bye, guys.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
But like, think about it when you're doing like if
you're in yoga and you're doing a headstand or something
and you're when all the blood's rush into your head.
They were like that for twenty minutes.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
It's not for me, no, all right, coming up ushers
at the Honda Center. Got your tickets next
